Can you give me some examples of goals you have helped clients achieve?
Our clients often set 2 business goals and 1 personal goal.
Examples of business goals:
Increase sales
Improve time management
Become a more effective leader
Define the next step in your career
Examples of personal goals:
Personal health and fitness
Improve personal/family relationships
Decrease stress
Giving back via charitable activities
While these are common themes we have seen in our previous work, the most important thing is that your goals are important and inspiring to YOU.
Who can benefit from coaching?
Our methodology can work for anyone, but the best return on investment (ROI) is experienced by clients who are already at the top of their game.
You've probably heard the saying "It's lonely at the top," and we have found this to be true again and again. For senior leaders, business owners, and top performers, the usual channels of growth may no longer fit. Coaching provides a tremendous opportunity to go from good to great for those who are looking to push themselves to the next level.
Do I need to know my goals in advance?
There is no pre-work for coaching and you do NOT need to know your goals in advance. We have a rapid and effective process to help you set the right goals during your first session.
How is executive coaching different from life coaching?
Executive coaching and life coaching are basically the same service, which provides structure, support, and thinking space to individuals who are looking to accelerate their performance against a set of measurable goals. When an organization provides this to a senior leader, it is often called executive coaching and when an individual seeks this service for themselves, it is often called life coaching. Usually, but not always, executive coaching focuses on business or organizational goals, while the focus of life coaching is typically a personal goal.
How is this different than therapy, or training, or consulting?
Coaching is only appropriate for mentally and emotionally healthy individuals. It is not intended to treat any clinical conditions.
In a nutshell, therapy's purpose is to heal old wounds and asks clients to explore the past. Training teaches standardized approaches, and often lacks follow-up. Consulting gives advice which may not be appropriate for the individual client and usually does not provide accountability in execution.
Coaching is a unique offering which allows the client to set highly-motivating goals for the future, and provides the coach as an accountability partner throughout the entire process of execution. Clients are able to think more clearly during their coaching conversations, allowing them to commit to custom actions that are tailored for them.
